HOST A COACH |
Midwest Soccer
Academy
“The Dutch Touch”
Midwest Soccer Academy has been coaching the youth of
America for the past 35 years. MSA coaches work with
children from 4 – 18 years old and are hired from all over
EUROPE because of their coaching expertise, personality and
the energy they bring to camp.
MSA’s
age appropriate, innovative curriculum focuses on the
technical aspects of the sport at the younger ages (through
fun games), while at the same time challenging each child
every single day. As the players get older the curriculum
introduces more tactical aspects of the game using the famed
Dutch Coaching Philosophy. Players are encouraged to be
creative and play free-flowing attacking soccer.

Additional information and online registration

FIELD IMPROVEMENTS
Your club is working hard for you!
After identifying
much needed
repairs and maintenance to many
of the
fields our club uses,
several of our members
have donated their time, talent, (and sore
muscles)
toward achieving this goal. Many thanks to: Steve Lentz,
Scott Maroncelli, Sal Marchionda, Rich Norwood, Joseph Scarelli,
Khalil Alami (and his children - Nina and George), Mike Fuerst,
Daniel Torres, Mike Horgan, Dan Root, Marcos Carmona, and
Mario Parody. |
Did You
Know?
All of our board members and coaches donate their time,
energy, and knowledge to our club and the community?
|
Our board members and other volunteers
have braved the cold on weekends out at Parr and the Boy Scout Shelter
fields welding, sanding, and painting
broken goal posts or constructing new ones, some of which were then
relocated. They also spent many hours clearing debris, aerating the fields, laying seed,
fertilizer and dirt which were donated to the club by Wayne County.

These repairs are imperative for the safety
of our children using these fields. Normal wear and tear from
games takes its toll. Moreover, practices, and use by teams from
other cities, adult soccer teams, football teams, kids wanting to cause
damage on their bicycles are just a few of the examples of abuse
our fields have suffered.
For this reason we ask that you not practice
on any of these fields as they are all being treated in some manner,
and need to be rested to be able to use during the fall this year or the
spring next year. The box at the top
of the page lists the fields which have been closed.
The DHSC pays for permits for these fields
every year. Copies of these permits can be found in the shed at
Warrendale. Since we "rent" the fields from the city and the
county, we temporarily own them. If you see anyone on these fields, please explain the
circumstances and ask them to leave, or call one of the board members,
the DH city police or Wayne County sheriff. All are aware of the
abuse, and have been asked to intervene in the past.
We will also be placing stickers on the
newly repaired goal posts indicating they are the property of the DHSC,
and are hoping to erect signs identifying the fields as our property by
permit.
More volunteers are always needed.
Please contact any of the board members to indicate when you might be
available.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING WITH ELECTIONS
and MANDATORY SPRING COACH'S MEETING
The meeting was held Tuesday, March
24th. Officers were elected to all positions, and are listed in
the table to the right. Thank you to all of the board members who
have volunteered their time, knowledge, and commitment to this club and
our community. Without you our children would not have the
opportunity to play the greatest game on earth!
